In addition, there are two other procedure rooms in the outpatient clinic.

Kaiserswerth Diakonia

Thousands of people entrust their care to Kaiserswerth Diakonia every year. We conduct social welfare work for the church in medical and nursing care, in social and teaching programs, and for education and further training. Our roots go back to the 19th century – in 1836 Pastor Theodor Fliedner and his wife Friederike established the world’s first Diakonia center in Kaiserswerth. Many others followed.

Our calling is to be attentive to the situation of the ill and elderly, persons who are disabled and in need of care, and to ensure opportunities for children and youth and the future of education. Kaiserswerth Diakonia is involved in many areas with almost 2,000 employees. Among them are the Florence Nightingale Hospital and numerous social services such as centers for the elderly, children, and youth, aid for the disabled, and socio-psychiatric help. The opportunities for education and further training are just as extensive.

Kaiserswerth Diakonia features a cultural program that has grown over the decades. It includes the workshop for textile objects and paraments, the bookstore, and numerous cultural activities. There is also the Fliedner Cultural Foundation, which is home to a budding “Museum of the Culture of Helping”. The “MutterHaus” is the center of everything. It houses a hotel and conference center that combines traditional and modern.
