Not only in obese men can increased fat and glandular tissue be visible on the breasts, but also in slim and athletic physiques. Genetic predisposition, the taking of certain medications, or a hormonal disorder can lead to these changes in the shape of the male breast (gynecomastia). A breast correction can reinvigorate a masculine body and feeling!
Diagnostics before the operation
First of all, we will investigate the cause of your breast change. An examination by a urologist or endocrinologist can be useful before the surgery to rule out hormonal causes in advance. In our consultations, we will explain whether surgery is necessary or if we can change your breast using an alternative treatment method.

You should start the operation in good health and feel physically fit. Alcohol should be avoided if possible and you should not smoke before the operation. You should not take any blood-thinning medication such as Aspirin® ten days prior to the operation. Breast corrections should be performed by a qualified specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery. We will inform you about possible risks of the operation in a detailed consultation. Possible pre-existing conditions, your lifestyle, or restrictions in the natural healing of wounds can influence the preparations or the course of the operation and post-operative treatment. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have! To remove the excess breast gland tissue, our specialists use unnoticeable and virtually invisible incisions at the edge of the nipple. After ninety minutes, the operation is completed under general anaesthesia. To achieve the most uniform result possible, we also use additional liposuction to remove excess fatty tissue, if necessary, for perfect masculine contouring of the breast shape. Important questions and answers
1. What should be considered before the operation?
2. What are the risks of a breast correction for gynecomastia?
3. How does the operation work?
After the operation, a concealed compression undershirt is fitted, which should be worn day and night for six weeks. Light pain-relieving medication can relieve the feeling of pressure in the first days after the operation. Typically, you can return to your workplace after a few days, provided you feel comfortable enough and follow our recommendation to take care of yourself. You should avoid strenuous physical or sporting activities in the first six weeks. The wound incisions are closed with self-dissolving sutures which will not need to be removed. The scars are initially reddened, but fade over time and are unnoticeable. You should avoid sunlight for six months after the operation to help scars remain discreet and invisible. In rare cases, gynaecomastia can occur again, e.g. when taking medication. If this were to happen, there would be no problem repeating the breast correction. Regular check-ups help to detect and treat any complications early on. Further FAQ
