While a breast reduction reduces the overall size of the breasts, a breast lift only removes the excess skin and reshapes the breasts as a whole. The procedure takes about two hours and is usually performed under general anesthesia as part of a one-day inpatient stay. No blood-thinning agents or medication to thin the blood should be taken 2 weeks before the operation. If the breasts are considered to be too small, an implant can be inserted during the breast lift for breast augmentation. By doing this, not only is the sagging tissue removed, but the size and shape of the breasts are redefined by the implant according to the patient's wishes. If desired, it is also possible to give your breasts additional volume by using autologous fat. A combination of both procedures, breast augmentation along with the hybrid technique, is also possible. One of many reliable surgical techniques is the inverse T-shape scar. This method offers the possibility of repositioning hanging tissue internally and using it like an implant made of your own tissue. Consequently, your breast receives a permanent voluptuous look with a full décolleté and remains dimensionally stable for many years. The surgical technique with a “vertical scar” was developed in the past as a scar-saving technique. The scar in the inframammary fold is avoided here. This technique is recommended for moderate diagnostic findings which have natural, elastic skin conditions. In the periareolar technique, a scar is applied around the areola. This is an alternative treatment for distinctive diagnostic findings. As an innovative procedure, we also offer a breast lift without scars using radio frequency therapy (BodyTiteTM and BreastTiteTM).
